"Strength from our Families"

The Family Readiness Group (FRG) is an important group of volunteers who are elected by the family members of the Sailors of the USS CARL VINSON. The FRG is the "social group", they hold monthly FRG meetings where family members are able to gather together for support, information, socialization, and morale building activities. If you are in the area, we strongly encourage you to attend these meetings.

The FRG also puts together all of the fun fundraising activites, restaurant nights, and community clean-up activities. The FRG plans and hosts the halfway party and the children's halfway party, along with the wonderful night before party that was held aboard the USS MIDWAY last deployment.

The FRG conducts many fun events throughout deployment and during the holidays and we hope that you will become involved and participate in as many of these and events & activities as possible.

Members include; Navy enlisted, officers, spouses, children, parents, grandparents, girlfriends, boyfriends and fiances.
